A rapidly growing leader in advanced wound care and regenerative medical technologies is seeking an Executive Area Manager to drive strategic territory growth across the Washington DC metro region.
The organization is seeking a polished, consultative sales professional with strong clinical credibility and a proven ability to build long-term relationships within complex healthcare systems. This is a direct hospital engagement role focused on education, clinical adoption, and value-based selling—not transactional distribution sales.
Position Overview
The Executive Area Manager will serve as a trusted clinical and commercial partner to healthcare providers, responsible for driving adoption of advanced wound care technologies through education, relationship development, and strategic account expansion across a defined Mid-Atlantic territory.
This role requires strong clinical engagement skills, comfort navigating hospital systems, and the ability to influence multi-disciplinary stakeholders involved in wound care and surgical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand hospital and IDN relationships across the territory
- Drive adoption of advanced wound care technologies in clinical settings
- Engage surgeons, wound care specialists, podiatrists, vascular physicians, and OR teams
- Navigate hospital committees, approval pathways, and clinical decision processes
- Support VAC processes, formulary positioning, and reimbursement discussions
- Build long-term territory growth through physician and clinical partnerships
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of medical device sales experience
- Strong hospital and/or IDN selling background
- Proven clinical sales experience with physician engagement
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex healthcare sales cycles
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Strongly Preferred
- Advanced wound care, biologics, or regenerative medicine experience
- Skin substitutes or related advanced therapies
- Surgical, OR-based, or procedural sales experience
- Experience in limb salvage, vascular, podiatry, or orthopedic extremities
- Familiarity with hospital-based formulary or approval processes
Territory : Washington DC | Northern Virginia | Maryland
Compensation
- Base Salary: $100,000 – $110,000
- Performance-based incentive structure tied to territory growth and product adoption
- Strong upside potential aligned with clinical impact and market expansion
