About Medical Consultants

Medical Consultants is an established independent medical distribution company representing a portfolio of leading manufacturers in disposable medical products and capital equipment. For more than fifteen years, we have partnered with healthcare providers across Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana, delivering high-quality solutions, trusted expertise, and exceptional customer support.

We are seeking a highly motivated, accomplished Medical Sales Representative to join our team and play a key role in the continued growth of our business. This opportunity is ideally suited for an entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives in an independent environment, enjoys building long-term customer relationships, and is energized by the opportunity to expand an established multi-state territory.

The successful candidate will work directly with ownership and have the opportunity over time to take on increased leadership and strategic responsibilities as the business continues to evolve. Candidates with proven healthcare sales experience are preferred, although exceptional sales professionals from other industries who demonstrate the ability to succeed in a consultative selling environment will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand customer relationships throughout an established four-state territory (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana).
  • Drive sales growth through new business development, prospecting, and expansion of existing customer relationships.
  • Conduct customer meetings, product demonstrations, evaluations, presentations, and in-service training programs.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans designed to achieve sales objectives and long-term growth.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare providers, administrators, and key decision-makers.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities across both disposable products and capital equipment.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, customer, and sales activity records within CRM systems.
  • Coordinate follow-up activities, proposals, quotations, and customer communications to ensure exceptional service and responsiveness.
  • Represent both Medical Consultants and our manufacturing partners with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset.
  • Achieve and exceed established sales goals and performance expectations.
  • Active, in-person territory management, including periodic overnight travel (approximately 30%) throughout the four-state region.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of successful sales experience, preferably in a field-based, B2B, or healthcare environment.
  • Experience selling into hospital and healthcare provider environments, including the ability to navigate complex customer organizations and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders, is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a territory, and drive business growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented.
  • High character, integrity, and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to building long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Must be based in Colorado.
  • Prior experience in medical device, capital equipment, or medical disposables sales is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within a commission-based or independent contractor (1099) environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management tools is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a related field is preferred.
